Walk around Shikano

This festival is held in Shikano town where is a self-entitled little Kyoto. It’s a caste town with a very Japanese atmosphere, and a traditional townscape from 17th century still remains there. Three old Japanese-style houses in Shikano have been already designated as registered tangible cultural properties of Japan so far, and this town has been getting more popular. Of course, it is fun to walk around this town by yourself, but you can learn more about Shikano and it’ll be much more fun if you go on a walking tour with a local guide. A special course will be prepared for this year. Please enjoy a nice and relaxing walk, and experience the extraordinary time along with watching performances. This is highly recommended!
