The management side and the local people are hoping that people can enjoy this theatre festival more and the more people will come and join this. Since this spring, we have discussed with the local people about what more we all could do. Through those discussions, we have come up with an idea that we’d like young people and young families with small children to enjoy the nights of the theatre festival. This idea will be brought into shape; the night event is happing and you can sleep in a tent. If you can stay overnight, then you can drink at night. In rural areas, cars are daily necessities, so there are many people driving to this theatre festival, and those who drive a car here can’t enjoy drinking. If you stay overnight, you can drink! You can also enjoy a hot spring, Shikano Onsen! Let’s have fun more! This is a challenge for us, but we will think out and do our best, so please have a great night in Shikano.
The details of the night event
Food Village
There will be a food stall operated by the local young men’s group in Shikano called Akari Honganshu. They will be selling Shikano’s craft beer ‘GINGER BROWN ALE’. There will be ‘the pop-up Japanese sake bar’ only on September 23.
Stellar Observation (until 21:00PM)
You will observe the night sky of Shikano, and TAGA Hiroshi, a member of Astronomy Association Tottori, will give you explanations. You can join this anytime during the event.
※When it’s rainy or cloudy, there will be an indoor lecture of astronomy.
Outdoor Screening
We will screen videos of the past performances of BIRD Theatre Company TOTTORI and so on.
Sleeping in a Tent
You can sleep overnight in a tent set up in the theatre grounds. (You need to apply for this in advance. )
